“Be still and know that I am God” — Psalm 46:10
“Imagine trusting silence more than any thought you can come up with.” — Adyashanti
“This silence is what is at the center of your Being.” — Angelo DiLullo
How does one write about silence? Anything that can be written down isn’t it, and yet we can feel it deeply and intimately. It’s an experiential knowing, it is not conceptual, and it is here right now. It always has been and always will be. It is this silence that I Am.
Silence doesn’t flinch when the mind is startled.
Silence doesn’t hide when the mind is scared.
Silence doesn’t have anything to prove or anything to defend.
In silence, all things appear and disappear.
Silence is the only thing that is real, and silence is not a thing.
Silence just is.
