We all wear a mask, don’t we? Even the most authentic of us still wears a mask.

In my experience, the bare absolute truth of my being is not expressible with words, images, or any other concepts. It can only be known by “this that I am which is right here”. It cannot be expressed directly. It can only be pointed to.

The Tao that can be named is not the eternal Tao.

Thus, a mask must be worn to show up in the world. Different masks get worn in different situations. At home, at work, with friends or with family; they all see variations on a theme called “Cade”. Even when I interact with my dog, a mask is worn.

These masks may look similar, and are often indistinguishable to others, but they are all false faces.

I’m not sure it is possible to exist as a human being without wearing a mask. The Mask = The Filter. The mask is the conditioning. All responses at the human level are filtered through the human conditioned mask.

To be maskless is to know the truth of being directly.

There’s nothing else that can be said, really.
